Not only do I  now have a Balenciaga handbag on my lengthy Christmas list (yes, I begin building my Christmas list in September...of the previous, previous year. Perhaps as an entertainment factor for when my dad sees their gaudy appearance paired with a price point higher than my monthly credit card limit and his jaw hits the floor. It's sick but honestly, it's satisfying. I recommend you try it, it'll make your designated gift giver appreciate the more reasonable wishful requests. These puffy 80's reminiscent sweatshirts promoting nerdy attractions were out in full force during fashion weeks from New York to Milan to London. Mila Kunis admitted to once being an obsessed video game dweeb. That fact along with these awesomely bizarre sweatshirts make the fashion that much stronger. They're so weird and bad they're good.

Bitter Sweet Ending

That's how I'm assuming the conclusion of NYFW feels, bitter sweet. Bitter because the excitement, shows, beautiful people, clothes, and after parties are over yet sweet since you're left with the excitement of clothes to come and all the chaos surrounding the past few weeks subsides and it becomes possible again to breathe. Finally. I'll be sure to let you know exactly how it feels next year. Like I said, I will be in attendance even if it takes breaking a few laws to get there.

Ladies around the world can enviously spy that notorious red sole anywhere. All I need to see is a gorgeous shoe, a glimmer of red underneath, and cue, immediate sigh. It is no doubt a Louboutin. One day I hope to have a closet shelf dedicated and stocked with red soled shoes only. A girl can dream. With the recent outcome of a long legal battle between rival French fashion houses, Christian Louboutin and Yves Saint Laurent, it's presumable all future red soled beauties will all be 100% Louboutin's. The true originator of the distinctive red soles.

The designer took a major chance in choosing a fire engine red sole as the trademark attribute present on all his designs. Who would've thought a woman desiring a basic black patent leather heel would kill, probably literally, for one decorated with the infamous bright red sole.  That chance did however prove to be a marvelous success. I'm certain red soled Louboutin's are the most coveted shoes on the market. As if Christian Louboutin needed additional confirmation he had secured a spot as dominator in the high end shoe industry, rival luxury shoe competitor, Yves Saint Laurent went and copied the red sole. Ballsy move Laurent . But not with success. After losing in a lower court's ruling and receiving a lot of skepticism from the people of the judicial system and high to low end designers replicating their distinctive red sole design, Louboutin finally sealed a victory. Louboutin now holds the authority to block fellow designers from reproducing their signature red soles. However, there is a catch, this ruling only holds if the primary color of the shoe is in contrast with the red. If YSL wants to make an entirely red shoe, they're at liberty to do so. However, who, besides Dorothy of Oz, would want that? And with this new lawsuit ruling, who would want a red soled shoe that's not a Louboutin anyway?
